Kejernihan dan Kekeruhan Bersumber pada Pikiran Manusia
Sinopsis:
D dunia ini, kekeruhan terus tercipta dan terakumulasi akibat adanya kegelapan batin. Kegelapan batin berasal dari pikiran. Kekuatan pikiran sangatlah besar. Kekuatan yang sangat besar ini dapat membentuk kebajikan, juga dapat membentuk kejahatan. Kebajikan bisa menyucikan hati manusia, menciptakan Tanah Suci di dunia ini, serta membawa keamanan, ketenteraman, dan keharmonisan bagi masyarakat. Sebaliknya, kejahatan akan membuat dunia ini penuh kekeruhan, orang-orang tidak bisa membedakan yang benar dan salah, dan masyarakat penuh pergolakan.
Beberapa waktu yang lalu, guyuran hujan deras di Jakarta, Indonesia telah menimbulkan bencana banjir. Saat insan Tzu Chi Indonesia kembali ke Taiwan, Master berkata kepada mereka bahwa sampah yang menumpuk di sungai dan selokan harus segera dibersihkan. Setelah mendengar saran dari insan Tzu Chi, pemerintah setempat pun menggerakkan tentara untuk membersihkan lingkungan. Insan Tzu Chi juga menyediakan makanan hangat bagi mereka. Inilah wujud kerja sama masyarakat dan tentara.
Di Taiwan, misi pelestarian lingkungan Tzu Chi telah dimulai sejak 25 tahun yang lalu. Para relawan daur ulang mengumpulkan barang daur ulang tanpa memedulikan nilainya. Tujuan mereka adalah melindungi bumi. Mereka mengumpulkan barang daur ulang yang nilai jualnya tidak tinggi atau tidak diinginkan oleh orang lain. Jika ada orang yang membutuhkan, insan Tzu Chi tidak akan berebut barang daur ulang dengan mereka. Selain itu, insan Tzu Chi juga mencurahkan perhatian kepada para pemulung. Jadi, selain tidak mengurangi pendapatan mereka, juga dapat menambah penerima bantuan Tzu Chi.
