Pada tanggal 11 Maret 2011, Jepang diguncang gempa dahsyat. Saat itu, Jepang mengalami kerusakan besar. Insan Tzu Chi Taiwan juga pergi ke Jepang untuk menyalurkan bantuan bencana. Banyak orang yang kehilangan tempat tinggal dan harus mengungsi ke tempat pengungsian. Insan Tzu Chi menuju lokasi bencana untuk menyediakan makanan hangat bagi para korban bencana. Selain itu, Taiwan juga mengirimkan selimut dan syal ke sana.
Di mana pun bencana terjadi, insan Tzu Chi selalu bersumbangsih tanpa pamrih. Setiap orang menyumbangkan uang dan tenaga. Dari banyaknya insan masyarakat yang bersumbangsih, bisa diketahui betapa besarnya kekuatan cinta kasih yang tercipta. Namun, isu-isu yang menyebar belakangan ini membuat banyak insan Tzu Chi merasa khawatir.
