Banyak relawan daur ulang telah bersumbangsih demi kelestarian lingkungan. Mereka telah melindungi bumi, mengasihi umat manusia, menyayangi generasi penerus, dan menjaga lingkungan ini. Dalam waktu sehari, mereka bisa mengumpulkan 1.700 kg botol kaca. Botol kaca sangat berat dan tidak dapat dijual dengan harga tinggi. Mereka mengumpulkannya bukan demi uang. Mereka hanya berharap botol-botol kaca itu tidak dibuang di sembarangan tempat.
Tahun ini, insan Tzu Chi berharap bisa mengimbau setiap orang untuk memiliki ketulusan terhadap sesama. Setiap orang harus menggunakan hati yang tulus untuk melindungi bumi dan menghargai antarsesama agar terbina hubungan yang penuh kasih sayang. Jika bisa demikian, maka dunia ini akan selamanya diliputi keharmonisan dan kebaikan. Inilah yang harus kita usahakan pada tahun depan.
Untuk dilantik menjadi relawan daur ulang, setiap orang harus mengubah tabiat buruk masa lalu. Sesungguhnya, setiap insan Tzu Chi merupakan teladan bagi orang lain. Relawan daur ulang juga merupakan teladan bagi masyarakat. Banyak orang dari luar negeri yang datang ke Taiwan untuk mempelajari konsep daur ulang Tzu Chi.
