Sinopsis:
Peresmian RS Tzu Chi Taipei diadakan pada tanggal 8 Mei 2005, tepatnya pada hari Minggu kedua bulan Mei yang merupakan Hari Ibu, Hari Kelahiran Buddha, dan Hari Tzu Chi Sedunia. Banyak dokter yang telah bergabung di RS Tzu Chi Taipei dari hari pertama pembukaan hingga kini. Para dokter, perawat, dan tenaga medis di berbagai departemen, semuanya bekerja di bagian masing-masing sebagai satu kesatuan dengan satu tekad yang sama, yakni bersumbangsih bagi orang yang menderita.
Para staf RS Tzu Chi selalu bersumbangsih kala dibutuhkan. Contohnya saat terjadi bencana Topan Morakot, para tenaga medis dari berbagai RS Tzu Chi turut terjun ke lokasi bencana di wilayah selatan Taiwan. Selain memberikan pelayanan di posko, mereka juga berkeliling di lokasi bencana. Para staf RS Tzu Chi Taipei juga tidak ketinggalan. Mereka bergerak ke wilayah selatan bukan hanya untuk satu hari, melainkan terus-menerus secara bergantian.
Dalam bencana gempa di Nepal kali ini, saat Kepala RS Chien di Taichung mendengar kabar tentang bencana tersebut, beliau segera menghubungi Kepala RS Chao di Taipei agar segera menyiapkan perlengkapan dan obat-obatan. Dalam sehari, para dokter, apoteker, dan staf dari berbagai departemen segera bergerak untuk menyiapkannya. Mereka bersumbangsih dengan cinta kasih.
