Ajaran yang pertama Buddha babarkan kepada kita adalah kebenaran tentang penderitaan. Beliau menggunakan penderitaan yang dapat kita alami dan temui di dunia ini agar kita dapat memahami ajaran-Nya. Usia kehidupan kita di dunia ini sangat singkat. Kita harus menerapkan ajaran Buddha dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta dalam tubuh, ucapan, dan pikiran kita. Sesungguhnya, di dalam hati setiap orang terdapat ladang palatihan batin yang agung. Buddha dan Bodhisattva ada di dalam hati kita, bukan berada di kuil untuk disembah oleh kita.
Tujuan hidup kita adalah menjadi penyelamat bagi sesama. Setiap orang di sekeliling kita adalah penyelamat kita. Karena itu, kita harus selalu memiliki hati penuh rasa syukur. Setelah mendengar Dharma, kita juga harus membabarkan Dharma. Untuk merekrut Bohisattva dunia, kita harus memahami ajaran Buddha, memahami Tzu Chi, dan memahami ajaran Jing Si. Setelah itu, kita harus segera berbagi dengan orang lain. Karena itu, kita harus selalu bertutur kata baik.
Untuk menapaki Jalan Bodhisattva, kita harus belajar bagaimana membabarkan Dharma dan merekrut Bodhisattva dunia di tengah masyarakat. Kita harus lebih banyak menciptakan berkah, menjalin jodoh baik, dan membangkitkan kebijaksanaan di tengah umat manusia. Ini merupakan Dharma yang sesungguhnya. Kita harus menghargainya dengan baik.
