Berhubung mendalami Dharma di tengah makhluk awam, kita perlu memasang sebuah filter di telinga kita untuk menyaring suara yang dapat menimbulkan kegelapan dan noda batin. Saat mendengar ajaran yang baik, kita harus menyerapnya untuk membasahi ladang batin agar benih kebajikan kita dapat bertunas dan bertumbuh dari pohon kecil menjadi pohon besar. Satu pohon besar dapat menghasilkan benih yang tak terhingga dan setiap butir benih dapat menghasilkan benih yang tak terhingga lagi.
